Role Summary/Purpose
This key position will have overall responsibility for the Finance Activities in the $40MM Central & Eastern Europe region. The role will also partner with other finance functions in the region to ensure appropriate controllership and compliance policies and procedures are in place.

This position can be located in Czech Republic (Prague) or Hungary (Budapest area - Oroszlany).

Essential Responsibilities
  • Work directly with regional controllership and supply chain teams to deliver on CEE financial goals
  • Partner with the Eastern Europe Regional Executive to deliver Sales, CM (Contribution Margin), and OM (Operating Margin) targets, past dues improvement, and linkage with supply chain on key projects/activities
  • Responsible for key commercial finance activities including sales/cm forecasting, pipeline opportunity analytics and related FP&A activities
  • Lead / drive / coordinate local Sales QMI (Quick Market Intelligence) calls providing the leadership team with underlying analysis of Sales Trends, Order pattern etc.; supporting the forecast data communicated to the EMEA leadership team
  • Coordinate, set-up, execution of Customer Contracts as well as providing financial guidance/inputs to the DoA (Delegation of Authority), compliance, and measurement tools on profitability
  • Responsible for the 3rd Party appointment / renewal of Agents, Distributors and Consultants process including profitability and commission forecasting / analysis
  • Support and validate sales commissions
  • Coordinate and drive finance activities related to GPB (Growth Play Book - 2 to 5 year strategic plan), SII (budget forecast process), and Operation Plan process
  • Support the Credit Collection process and identify / communicate / execute improvements helping the DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) performance, minimizing bad debts exposure

    Qualifications/Requirements
  • University degree or equivalent required
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
  • Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills
  • Desire to combine Finance with strong operational focus
  • Ability to lead change
  • Business acumen with creative and resourceful problem solving skills
  • Positive and proactive can-do attitude and proven ability to deal with senior management
  • Excellent command of English (both written and oral) and preferably one of the Central European languages

  • FMP (GE’s Leadership Program) graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Knowledge of other languages is a plus
